Job Description Job Description Salary: 85,000 - 100,000 Job Summary Vital Materials seeks a skilledMaintenance Supervisorto oversee the maintenance of critical plant equipment, focusing on sand blasting, plasma coating, and automated conveyor systems. This requires expertise in technical maintenance, preventive maintenance program development, and operator training. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, machining, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, combined with proficiency in computer systems and tools such as CMMS systems and Microsoft Office. Key Responsibilities Technical Maintenance Operations Perform maintenance and repair tasks on key equipment, including sand blasting, plasma coating, and automated conveyor systems. Troubleshoot and resolve plant issues during non-scheduled hours or emergencies. Utilize expertise in welding, machining, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems to address complex maintenance challenges. Preventive Maintenance Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to prevent unexpected failures. Training and Development Train operators and technicians on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols. Provide technical guidance to enhance team performance and skill levels. Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and system upgrades. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies in all maintenance activities. Prepare reports and presentations using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. Emergency Response Respond promptly to plant emergencies or equipment breakdowns, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on operations. Qualifications, Education and Certifications High school diploma or GED required; associates degree or technical certification preferred. Professional certifications in welding, mechanical, electrical, or maintenance (e.g., Certified Maintenance Professional/Technician) are strongly preferred. Experience Proven experience in sand blasting, plasma coating, and automated conveyor systems. Hands-on expertise in welding, machining, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs. Familiarity with CMMS and work order systems. Skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage technical maintenance tasks effectively. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer systems for reporting and data analysis. Excellent communication and training skills. Working Conditions Requires physical activity, including lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and working in various environmental conditions. Availability for on-call responsibilities during emergencies or non-scheduled hours.
