Job Description:

The Sales Trainer with leader and senior team member assistance, delivers training solutions that effectively prepares Sales Team Members to achieve high levels of performance. Outcomes & Activities:

  • Effectively delivers training leveraging adult learning principles.
  • Successfully transfers knowledge to others through a variety of methods and modalities.
  • Assesses learners performance and provides detailed feedback to stakeholder(s).
  • Supports Sales Leaders in the development of Sales Team Members, as needed.
  • Supports the design team in the development of new training tools, as needed. Requirements:
    • Meet or exceed expectations in the Market Area Manager Role
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to travel up to 3 weeks each month (approx. 75%), if not local to Southfield
    • Proficient in delivering to small and large groups (1 to 50)
    • Ability to learn new materials quickly
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization Preferred:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Performance Improvement, Instructional Design or related fields.
      • Minimum 3 years' experience with delivering effective training.
      • Knowledge of auto dealership operations and direct experience in a dealership.
      • Background in evaluation levels 1 - 4. Knowledge and Skills:
        • Uses advanced facilitation and presentation skills.
        • Strong communication skills and ability to demonstrate these skills in written and oral format and use of body language.
        • Able to adapt communication style to meet the needs of learners.
        • Adept at working within constraints including but not limited to aggressive deadlines, changing requirements and limited resource availability.
        • Organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
        • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with supervision in a team environment.
        • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
