The strategic combination of Tenneco's Ride Performance business with Federal-Mogul's Motorparts business will establish a global aftermarket leader with an impressive portfolio of some of the strongest brands in the aftermarket including Monroe, Walker, Wagner, Champion, Fel-Pro and MOOG. The company's broader aftermarket product coverage, stronger distribution channels, and enhanced channel development will strengthen its position in established and high growth markets (China and India), and drive success through new mobility models and capturing evolving e-commerce opportunities. We are looking for an Engine Sales and Product Director. The Engine Sales and Product Director - US/Canada, under joint direction of the Executive Director - Global Engine and the General Manager - Specialty Sales, is responsible for the planning and execution of the US/Canadian sales plan and the CTOH product strategy for the FP Diesel Product Teams. This role involves driving strategic and tactical issue resolution across different functional organizations internal and external to the Sealing and Engine group including engineering, supply chain, purchasing, research and development, manufacturing and others. The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: * This role is responsible for ensuring product goals are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals. Key success indicators include sustainable growth and profitability of product categories as well as meeting company cash and inventory targets. * Develop and implement global elements of the CTOH product line strategy for FP Diesel. * Establish and implement staffing plan required to support product line growth. * Development flawless execution of product and pricing plans in coordination with brand and program strategies. * Maintain cross-functional communication throughout organization. * Communicate effectively to senior level executives, sales leaders and key customers. * Responsible for initiating and implementing new and improved planning techniques for systems. * Responsible for understanding and delivering overview of markets of respective products. * Responsible for the development of competitor analysis as needed by the organization. * Responsible for understanding and delivering overview and projections of respective product line. * Work with technology group to help frame overview and direction of respective product technologies, establish respective product value proposition and set direction for market and price positioning. * Help support division and corporate requests for insight and information for strategic investments and acquisitions. * Provide analysis and assessment of market, competitive landscape and products to guide profitable, global and regional growth initiatives. * Identify and effectively communicate critical design and related performance attributes of their products. * Connect product characteristics to critical value drivers of users. * Understand financial models including cost structure and profitability analysis. Required Experience EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field. Master's Degree is preferred. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: * 7-10 years of progressive work experience in Manager/Director-level oversight of sales, product management, business development and marketing/engineering. * Must have a sound understanding of the light vehicle and CTOH engine business. * Significant experience in the creation and use of spreadsheets, databases and presentations. * Must be able understand and analyze the basic manufacturing process of respective products. Prior Operations experience/product line interface preferred. * Ability to effectively assess value streams, decision drivers, critical paths to market, competitor assessment and strategic product positioning. * Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. * Effective communication skills to convey key concepts/strategies across organization groups and to executive management.
