Job Description:

I. POSITION OBJECTIVE The Payroll Analyst II, Human Resources oversees the hourly and salary payroll processing for specific assigned locations.--This position is responsible for assisting with the entire weekly and semi-monthly payroll processes using ADP, including the entry of direct deposit information, tax exemption data, general deductions and additional pay types for assigned locations, entering one-time-only changes for each pay period, verifying the accuracy of each payroll prior to confirmation by processing and checking various reports, responding to inquiries for Human Resource personnel and preparing manual pay adjustments when necessary.--This position also assists with processing wage assignments for assigned locations and acts as back up for the Payroll Analyst III.II. REPORTS TOPayroll Supervisor, Human ResourcesIII. DIRECT AND INDIRECT REPORTSNo direct or indirect reports IV. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Process maintenance changes for assigned locations and assist in successful confirmation of payrolls according to the processing schedule.- Upload and balance the weekly time files for any assigned hourly locations.- Provide excellent customer service to assigned locations to resolve questions, process manual pay adjustments, etc.- Continue to gain knowledge and increase understanding of the entire payroll process by cross-training with the Payroll Supervisor and Senior Payroll Manager on advanced elements of the payroll process including relocation, executive compensation, and related benefits impacting payroll, expatriate payroll processing, fuel cards and all year-end tasks.- Update the Hourly and Salary Processing Procedures as needed to accurately reflect changes in the processes to ensure both Sarbanes Oxley and internal audit requirements are being met.- Process payroll garnishments for all U.S. locations.- Process various types of imputed income such as relocation and fuel cards to ensure proper year end W2 reporting.- Assist with the reconciliation of tax payments and filings completed by ADP Tax Filing as needed. Payroll tax experience required.- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.V. EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or General Business is required. VI. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTSThe successful candidate is an experienced payroll and business professional. Prior experience with union payrolls in a Shared Services environment and garnishment processing is an advantage, and prior ADP experience is a plus. The candidate must be results oriented with a proven track record of successfully participating on high performing teams, working effectively with an array of organizational functions, departments and cultures.--Strong communication and listening skills, and the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy are a must. Knowledge of the principles of continuous improvement and the desire to implement efficiencies is preferred.--Must be able to use own discretion to solve basic and intermediate level problems while keeping the Payroll Supervisor up to date while also recognizing when a situation needs to be escalated directly to the Payroll Supervisor or the Senior Payroll Manager.VII. DESIRED PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS- Highly self-motivated individual who will continually look for ways to improve the payroll processes in the face of continued rapid growth while trying to reduce costs.- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.- Ability to actively listen and engage in conversation with customers to uncover relevant information and solutions. - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously may be required.- Credibility as an advisor to management on issues related to payroll processes.- Attention to detail is critical.- Diplomatic interpersonal skills.- Strong personal work ethic.- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.- Driven to meet and exceed "customer" expectations.- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking process and problem solving skills.- Unquestionable ethics and integrity.VIII. TRAVEL??Minimal travel required.
