Opening: Credit Union Call Center RepresentativeLocation: Troy, MI (near Somerset mall)Terms: Permanent - Direct Placement (not a contract)Pay Rate Factors: To start, $18.50-19 per experience + Commission (explained below). Low Cost Medical Plans ($7/month to cover family), Other Really Great benefits (dental, vision), Great Work Life Balance, 401k Retirement WITH MATCH, HYBRID Remote work FROM HOME after 90 days, and a $500 bonus after 45 days.PTO: 15 PTO Days + 12 Holidays (Year 1), 20 PTO Days + 12 Holidays (Year 2 etc). -Start: Week of 10/3Schedule: 40 hours per week during our call center hours:- Monday-Wednesday 8am-5pm- Thursday 8am-6pm- Friday 8am-6pm- Saturday 8am-1pm (Rotating)Responsibilities: - 60 to 70 inbound and outbound calls pertaining to banking related inquiries.- This position is basically a telephone banker who assists members with account maintenance and sales related questions- Consults with members to obtain information and explain available financial services. Effectively listens for cues and reviews account data to determine the nature and extent of members' needs, resolve problems, and suggest appropriate products and services.- Performs a broad range of member service and teller functions including accurately processing savings, draft/checking, and certificate (CD) account transfers; assisting with setting up CU's automated services, processing address changes, check orders, and reorders; offering loan quotes, calculations, and rates; generating loan applications, entering application data with accompanying notes, and making loan payments.- Inputs loan applications and determines if loans meet the criteria to process immediately. Accurately prepares and processes loan requests. Sets up closing date and provides instructions concerning documents needed to complete the closing process. Reviews applications and calls on loans not closed.- Assists members with completing all arrangements and documents for automated services such as direct deposit, payroll deduction, automated teller machines (ATM), and audio response services. Assists with ordering Debit/Credit Cards and PIN numbers, audio access response PIN numbers, and Internet Banking.TRAINING:- Will go through classroom and side by side training. The first part of the training is products and systems training for the first 2 weeks. From that point, they will shadow a senior call center rep for 1 week and then reverse shadow for the other week. The training is anywhere between 4 and 6 weeks.PERFORMANCE:- This person will be measured by the different products that they upsell or the amount of loans that they write. On top of that, this person will be measured by call hold times, the amount of calls taken and customer satisfaction surveys.Our headquarters sits in Clinton Township, Michigan, and has a membership size of more than 125,000 and assets of over $2 billion as of January 2019. We were founded in 1954 and are a not-for-profit financial institution, which is owned and operated by its members. The credit union is regulated under the authority of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), which means its members' deposits are federally insured up to $250,000.Great environment, newly renovated building, 2nd floor, will have their own office with the rest of the processing groups. Dual monitors.Nice cafeteria and break room as well. There is an actual branch on the first floor so if the candidate does bank with us yet, this will allow you to do your banking while working.Dress Code: Will need to dress business professional at all times.CAREER PATH:- phenomenal growth opportunities into a team lead, or the lending department, or mortgage ops department if you want to grow out of Customer ServiceCOMMISSION:- this position does have the opportunity to earn commission around $300 a month on average. High performers can earn even more ($500) This is based off of banking products and services sold in a month. These products can include: credit cards, line of credit, personal loans, auto loans, etc. The only types of loans this person can't generate are: Mortgage loans and Small Business loans
