We Are Hiring:

Patient Care Technician (PCT) - 2W, Cardiac Stepdown Intermediate Care

Ascension Providence, Southfield Campus

Full time, Nights

 

Schedule: Full time, 36 hours per week, 7p-730am

Rotating weekends and holidays

 

2W:  Is a 27 bed high paced Cardiac/Medical Stepdown unit. This unit allows the associates to care for a variety of patient types with many opportunities for growth and development. The unit has a strong focus on providing high quality patient care and the leadership team promotes open, honest communication and feedback to ensure the needs of the caregiver and patient are met.

What You Will Do:

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry. Any issuing authority accepted preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
