SENIOR VALIDATION ENGINEER
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN (WORLD HEADQUARTERS)
As a member of the Electronics team, the Sr. Validation Engineer
will be responsible for:
Work with a cross functional engineering team to develop,
coordinate, monitor and report on the validation testing of
automotive electronic control modules. The ideal candidate will
enjoy working in a very dynamic setting, and will have had previous
automotive industry testing experience.
The Validation Engineer works closely with the lab technicians
and product engineering to execute the validation - verification
test plans. They will also interface daily with product and test
engineering to ensure the test specifications and product
validation parameters are understood and adhered to.
This position requires a combination of skill sets involving
project management, data analysis and technical writing
? Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) - develop and
execute complex Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
? Compile, integrate, and plan required validation tasks per
specific OEM test requirements.
? Use the appropriate planning and tracking tools required to
manage complex verification plans, including multiple test
locations, and different OEM validation standards.
? Support equipment startup and problem solving during initial

* Meeting with peers and customer to brainstorm and create
requirements from scratch (30% of day) * Design reviews, component
management and print drafting / release (30% of day) * Feature
development, product / vehicle reviews and failure modes analysis
(40% of day)
? A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
experience is required for this position.
? 3-5 years of relevant OEM automotive validation testing
? Basic understanding of engineering theory and principles of
? Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
including DFMEA and Statistical Methods.
? Well organized, able to work well with a diverse team and
? Self-starter that is willing to perform a wide range of
? Experience testing electronic modules, RF products, high power
devices and HEV products.
