Location: Southfield, MISalary: 90kDescription: The Judge Group is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager in their Southfield, MI plant. The qualified individual will have the ability to influence employees that do not report to them and the ability to build an EHS program from the ground up.COMPENSATION: $70k to 90k plus bonus (Local candidates only, there is no relocation assistance offered with this position)MUST HAVE: The ability to create an EHP program from the ground upMUST HAVE: BS degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related EHS degreeMUST HAVE: Experience with standard regulatory authorities including OSHA, DHS, EPA, FAA, DEA, and DOT, and corporate EHS policiesMUST HAVE: Industrial chemical experience (Mixing and batching) is a plusMUST BE: Able to work an early shift (starting at 6:00a)RESPONSIBILITIES:- Create programs that will ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations- Enforce all OSHA, EPA, DOT, FAA, DEA, and DHS and corporate EHS policiesCreate and maintain EHS goalsMonitor ongoing complianceEstablish programs related too; Industrial Hygiene Air quality (Ventilation/exhaust scrubbing), workstation ergonomic, hazardous chemical proceduresManage two local locationsPrepare all regulatory (federal, state and provincial) reportingPrepare all permitting submittals ex: SARA, TRI, etcManage 14001 Environmental Management System Lead incident and accident investigationsIdentify root causesImplement corrective actionsUtilize statistics to identify trends Monitor waste water treatment operationAdminister hazardous waste program including reportingEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or another related EH&S related degree5+ years related experience in an EH&S capacityExperience working with both OSHA and EPA regulationsOpen to occasional travelExperience with ISO 14001 as well as OSHA 18001 Contact: djohnson@judge.comThis job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
