Job Description:

The Compliance Department is comprised of licensed attorneys and several legal assistants. The primary purpose of this department is to detect, prevent and remediate problems that might occur within the Company's operations. The Company's compliance professionals work closely with the business and the attorneys in the Corporate Legal Department to make certain that the Company is operating in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Employment in the Compliance Department will expose team members to all aspects of the Company's business which will help guide career growth both within and outside the Department. About this Position: The purpose of this position is to support the department attorneys in carrying out aspects of the Remediation Program and Compliance Management Program. Outcomes & Activities:

  • Review and assess accounts and account-level data for potential compliance concerns at the account and dealer level
  • Review and test data
  • Draft clear and concise communications
  • Engage consumers or third parties over the telephone in a professional but direct manner
  • Document activities in accordance with established policy in clear and concise manner
  • Support other compliance-related activities as needed Requirements: Required:
    • Minimum of two years of recent and relevant work experience in financial services industry, law firm, or legal department
    • Ability to work efficiently so as to maximize the quantity of work performed without sacrificing the quality of your work product
    • Be self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision
    • Ability to speak and write clearly and professionally
    • Experience with quickly learning and becoming a subject matter expert in new systems/processes
    • Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines
    • Expertise with Microsoft suite of products, including Word
    • Work onsite at the assigned Credit Acceptance facility Preferred:
      • Bachelor's Degree Knowledge & Skills:
        • Ability to speak and write clearly and professionally.
        • Remain positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situations.
        • Be organized and capable of meeting all deadlines.
        • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
        • Be organized, able to multi-task, and able to prioritize multiple requests.
        • Be self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment.
        • Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines.
