Location: Southfield, Michigan Position Summary: The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing and referring applicants for clerical, technical, administrative and management positions throughout the company. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Confers with hiring managers to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills Updates and maintains job descriptions as needed Coordinates with hiring managers to determine best recruiting process for positions Sources, screens and interviews applicants Coordinates and attends candidate interviews with hiring managers Conducts employment verifications Extends verbal and written contingent job offers Maintains employee referral program Completes weekly report on employment activity Optimizes the utilization of all available recruiting tools and applicant tracking systems Acts as liaison with partner recruiting and staffing firms Maintains all vendor agreements with recruiting firms and staffing agencies Attends career fairs, networking events and other employer branding initiatives representing the company and recruiting new talent Supports site personnel in securing temporary labor on projects as needed Nonessential Functions Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred 1 2 years of recruiting experience required Strong Microsoft Office skills required Previous experience with an Applicant Tracking System a plus Must be an all-around excellent communicator Critical evaluation skills are a necessity Demonstrated ability to easily and quickly adapt to change Impeccable organization and follow up skills are an absolute must Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
