BLS, Active ACLS Must-Have: - Cath Lab RN Experience -
Interventional Radiology experience (preferred) - 1 Years of
experience in Electrophysiology (preferred) - Cardiac Rhythm
Interpretation (preferred) - Knowledge of operation of intraaortic
balloon pump (preferred) - Travel work experience (preferred) -
Epic EMR experience (preferred) Description: This position cares
for patients before, during, and after angiography, interventional,
and angiographic cardiac catheterization procedures.
Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication,
documentation of catheterization processes, post-cath care, and
patient education. The role involves scrubbing in for procedures
and assisting other members of the cardiac catheterization
laboratory. Performs nursing care for catheterization/angiography
cardiovascular patients. Conducts other cardiac diagnostic nursing
procedures according to departmental protocols. Assists in stress
echocardiograms, routine treadmill exams, nuclear and pharmacologic
stress testing, tilt table examinations, echocardiograms,
cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Assists with
preparation, procedures, and recovery for various interventional
radiology procedures. Evaluates and screens patients for safety
prior to testing. Provides sedation monitoring in accordance with
hospital policy and documents the process appropriately.
Responsible for Holter monitor application, Event monitor
application, ambulatory blood pressure monitor application, and
pacemaker interrogations. Inserts PICC lines and functions as a
vascular access expert to meet patient needs. Operates equipment
and manages supplies, including cardiac output, hemodynamic
equipment, pacemakers/ICDs, intraaortic balloon pumps, crash carts,
IV pumps, defibrillators, and point of care glucometer/blood sugar
testing devices. Scrubs in for procedures with physicians. Records
all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets. Develops,
reviews, and enhances cardiovascular education materials and
programs. Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS
