Radiology Technologists are entrusted to apply their education in
the art of imaging, with the intent of providing excellent
diagnostic images for the treatment of injury and disease. Required

mission. Required Qualifications:Completion of formal Radiologic
Technology ProgramAART (American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists) RegisteredNM State Certification for Radiologic
TechnologyBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification Preferred
Qualifications:Experience operating a C-armKnowledge of normal and
abnormal vital signsAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
CertificationContinuous cardiac monitoring experience including
identification of normal or abnormal cardiac rhythmsInvasive
procedural experience involving moderate sedation Duties and
Responsibilities:Provides care during interventional spine
procedures utilizing industry standardsAscertains DNV/ISO standards
and specialty recommendations met for departmentUnderstands the
transfer and viewing of images via the imaging storage and viewing
softwareUnderstand the ordering systemCoordinate care with
attending Physicians and other caregivers as neededMaintain, clean,
and re-stock procedure rooms after each procedure and as
neededComprehensive understanding of the medication management
systemMay assist with and demonstrates understanding of setting up
and maintaining a sterile fieldIn-office transportation of patients
as needed pre and post procedureAssumes responsibility for own
personal continuing education and developmental needs. Attends
meetings,workshops, and conventions to increase clinical
skills.Provide professional communication with providers,
caregivers and patientsConducts self in a professional mannerEach
caregiver is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards
into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and
StewardshipOther duties as assigned Physical Demands and
Environmental Work Conditions:Accepts the risk of exposure to job
related illness and injury which may cause long term health
problemsMust be able to see with corrective eyewear, hear clearly
with assistance and when required differentiate colors
accuratelyMust be able to sit and walk frequently or for long
periods of time; must be able to stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel
and twist routinelyFrequent use of the computer and keyboardMust be
able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push up to three
hundred (300) pounds frequently Special DemandsSets limits when
dealing with angry, hostile or sometimes verbally or physically
abusive patients and families in an attempt to ensure a safe,
respectful environment that will support the delivery of
careEffectively copes and strives for balance when caring for
acutely ill patients and familiesExposure of radiation hazards
through radiology procedures
