LabCorp is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor for the Core Lab
at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit to oversee day-to-day
lab operations, staff supervision, quality assurance, and
regulatory compliance. The role includes scheduling, training,
process improvement, some bench work, administrative tasks
(payroll/personnel), and ensuring CLIA/CAP/state requirements are
met; a bachelor's degree in a biological/chemical science, ASCP or
AMT certification, and prior core lab technologist experience are
required. The position is full-time (night shift), offers
comprehensive benefits, and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for

a $10,000 sign on bonus. (External candidates only.) Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 10:30pm - 7:00am Shift: 3 Benefits: Employees
regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible

Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule
are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or

Responsibilities: Supervise the day to day operations of the Core
Lab department Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and
results are reported in a timely manner Directly supervise, train,
and mentor laboratory personnel of the department Monitor daily
workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverage
Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly
staffed Research and resolve any production errors while escalating
when necessary Engage in continuous process and service level
improvements Ensure all equipment is being properly maintained
through Quality Control Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance
records and documents Evaluate new process improvements and make
appropriate recommendations Meet regularly with direct reports to
provide coaching and feedback for their development Perform bench
work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical
operations Ensure all work is in accordance with state and Federal
regulations Responsible for administering and managing policies and
procedures Process and maintain payroll and personnel files Perform
administrative duties as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in
a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science,
Medical Technology, or a non-traditional degree that meets local
regulatory Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technologist - Core
Lab Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred
ASCP or AMT certification is required Strong working knowledge of
CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations Understanding of
laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures Proficient
with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office Strong
communication skills; both written and verbal High level of
attention to detail with strong organizational skills
