Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications, and at least two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities - Work in a 29-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for orthopedic, neurological, and telemetry patients - Patient ratios typically range from 1:4-5 based on acuity - Handle wounds, PICC lines, central lines, and use devices including wound vacs, BiPAP, CPAP, high flow, and nasal cannulas - Administer Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin drips, primarily non-titratable on this unit - Support staff available 1-2 per shift with phlebotomy for lab draws - Required to work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage - Nurses must read and verify telemetry strips once per shift in EPIC - Navy blue scrubs are required - This position does not accept local candidates; must live at least 50 miles from the facility - Responsible for managing wounds, lines, drains, and providing care for multi-system patients - Collaborate with ancillary staff and serve as a point of contact for care coordination - Travel experience is not required for consideration - Study guides for dysrhythmia testing are available prior to exam Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license required - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required - Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required - Experience with insulin gtts and reading/verifying telemetry strips in EPIC required - Pass a dysrhythmia (EKG) exam on first day with two attempts allowed Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-667007.
