Minimum 2 years in specialty areas License: Current licensure by
the State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have:
Basic dysrhythmia testing competency Description: Provides
leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality
compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide,
delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and
family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family
information to the health care team. Participates in finding
solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures
implementation of solutions. This is a float assignment with daily
staffing adjustments every four hours, with potential to be pulled
to a new assignment in four-hour blocks of time. Requires clinical
knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective
nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department. Ability
to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability
to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital
personnel. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is
required. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
