Ascension Registered Nurse Rn Operating Roomendoscopy Gi - AscensionJob DescriptionWe Are Hiring RN-Operating Room Endoscopy GI 001 PRN, Day Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus Southfield, MI. Day shift: Monday through Friday with unit coverage hours as deemed needed post orientation process. Must be able to rotate through Pre/Post and Procedure rooms. Why Join Ascension? What You Will Do As an associate with Ascension Michigan, you will have the opportunity to deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Responsibilities: * Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. * Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. * Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. * Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * One or more of the following: * Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted. * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA. Education: * Diploma * Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
