Manages the operational and personnel activities of the assigned
software engineering area. Collaborates with internal and external
customers, suppliers and affiliates in resolving problems/issues
arising from daily operations. Mentors, coaches and leads
subordinates by developing performance expectations, assessing
individual training needs and planning for goal attainment.
Recommends personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, and
ensures training of staff and completes performance evaluations.
Collaborates with senior management to develop goals, objectives
and measures for area. Communicates and implements change
management initiatives. Assists in the development and monitoring
of budget for area.

--- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering or Computer Science.
--- Seven to ten years of progressively more responsible software
design experience including C-programming and assembly language,
preferably within the automotive industry.
