Job Description:
Product Engineering Manager - North America Operations (NAO), Zanini USA, Inc., Southfield, MI. Coordinate &support dvlpmt, dvlp, & set technical direction/mentor engrg team of Quality/ Industrialization/Product Engrs in US/Mexico/Spain to dvlp current/ new injection molded plastics painted/coated (Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) magnetron sputtering/metallic, body color, soft touch, chromed, pad printed &aluminum overlays screen printed) decorative & functional plastic wheel trim (button/center caps, wheel inserts, &full wheel covers) components for U.S./global vehicle makers &airbag covers for Tier I automotive customers. Support &assure high qlty introduction of Zanini new line of products in NA incldg functional &cosmetic wheel inserts, radar emblems, illuminated emblems, interior/exterior trims decorated with PVD magnetron sputtering, sensors integration behind plastic components with metallic finishes, customized solutions for ADAS, fuel flaps, radiator grilles &back door handles. Create internal specs for thermoplastics used in Zanini products in all mfg plants. Supervise/coordinate Product Engrg activities performed by Product/ CAD/CAE Engrs, incldg product/process feasibility &engrg; product &mfg dvlpmt, testing &launch; technical feasibility anlys, material selections, tolerance stack-ups, CAE structural/rheological simulations, 3D models, drawings, preliminary testing with prototypes &trials. Support mfg plants in root cause anlys &corrective actions. (There is no foreign language reqmt.) Bachelor, Mechanical, Industrial, or Automotive Engrg, or related. 36 mos exp as Engineer, dvlpg painted/ coated (PVD magnetron sputtering, chromed &aluminum overlays screen printed) decorative &functional plastic button/ center caps, wheel inserts/covers for global vehicle makers.
