Job Description:
We are seeking an HRIS Manager to join the team in Southfield,
MI.
Qualified candidates must have:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Human Resources or Computer
Science), plus seven or more years of relevant experience or the
combination of education and experience that enables performance in
all aspects of the position
5+ years of related experience required with at least one year in a
supervisory position preferred
Working knowledge of Paycom HRIS software applications and
products
Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure
the HRIS team meets organization needs and goals

About the Position:
This critical position will report to the Chief Human Resources
Officer and will be responsible for providing a hands-on approach
with vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and
management of human resources management system (Paycom) while
partnering with the HR team and internal customers to meet current
and future business needs within the HR organization. Responsible
for analyzing and directing all functional related activities
within the scope of the HR systems. This position will serve as the
technical point-of-contact for HR and assists operations with
ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing
and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
Duties Include:
Lead the day-to-day activities to support HR, payroll and other
interrelated functions.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with HRIS constituents,
including senior management and the HRIS customer base.
Serve as an interface between internal/external customers and the
functional team members to ensure effective definition and delivery
of HRIS applications.
Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may
include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and
upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS
users.
Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify
system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements
solutions.
Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system
operations and settings for HRIS users.
Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated
queries, filters, macros, and reports.
Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports,
summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information
services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design
and implementation projects.
Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy
requirements.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers,
vendors, and technology.
Manages projects and process improvement, including applying change
management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of
quality.
Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints,
and probable consequences. Uses these data to build project plans
and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.
Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers
and peers to accomplish project goals.
Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative
solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established
policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to
implementation.
Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review,
testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches.
Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate
application of upgrade or fix.
Documents process and results.
Provides production support, including researching and resolving
HRIS problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; performing
scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods
to meet requirements.
Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and
supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate
reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for
ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by
running queries and analyzing data.
Conducts training, including developing user procedures,
guidelines, and documentation.
Trains new system users.
Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on
product and service development, delivery, and support, and
applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems
training, materials, and techniques.
Promote proactive approaches using the HRIS to solve business
needs/problems while also enhancing the understanding and
acceptance of the HRIS capabilities.
Plan, budget and forecast HRIS needs and applications. Maintain
awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans
on current and future HRIS functionality.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (human resources or computer
science) plus seven or more years of relevant experience or the
combination of education and experience that enables performance in
all aspects of the position.
5+ years of related experience required with at least one year in a
supervisory position preferred
Working knowledge of Paycom HRIS software applications and
products.
Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure
the HRIS team meets organizational needs and goals.
Ability to keep information confidential.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a
highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS
product.
Strong technical support skills.
