FUSA Engineer FUSA Engineer - Skills Required - Matlab, Simulink, dSPACE, LabView, ISO 26262, Automotive Product Life Cycle, DOORS, HIL/SIL, MISRA We are a newly founded company that is a spin off from an organization that has been in business for 30 years. This position will require occasional travel to our California offices, or if you would like to relocate to California, we are willing to assist with this transition as well. We are looking to add on a FUSA Engineer with experience, please read on! **What You Will Be Doing** Perform functional safety analysis activities for Electrical/Electronics radar systems during all project phases (concept, requirements, design, verification & validation and production) including item definition, preliminary hazard analysis, DFMEA, qualitative and quantitative fault tree analysis consistent with the ISO 26262 standard Develop functional safety architectures and cascade functional safety requirements to the systems, subsystems, and component levels. Specify detailed safety requirements, including diagnostic and software requirements Collaborate with Functional Safety Manager, project managers, development team and customers on technical aspects of functional safety Conduct technical reviews with product teams to ensure functional safety requirements are being met throughout product development cycles Other duties as required by your supervisor. **What You Need for this Position** Bachelor's degree in electrical, systems or computer engineering, Master's preferred 5+ years relevant work experience in development of engineering software and tools for embedded control environments, including Matlab, Simulink, dSpace, LabView, HIL/SIL test environments, C code development, MISRA and other coding guidelines, and related tools and methods. Knowledge of Functional Safety Theory and experience with ISO 26262, certification preferred Experience with Automotive Product Development Life Cycle (Systems, Software) Knowledge of Requirements Management tools (e.g., DOORS ) Some familiarity with embedded software development The ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly and persuasively to peers, management and customers Strong technical leadership, problem solving, planning and organization/control skills Must be fluent in spoken and written English Uphold, educate and adhere to the Functional Safety Process Preferred: 3+ years in automotive safety related products **What's In It for You** - Competitive Base Salary - Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision - 401 (K) with company match - Paid time off (PTO) - Vacation, sick, and paid holidays So, if you are a FUSA Engineer with experience: 1.
