Community Youth Mentoring (CYM) is seeking a dependable, organized,
and youth-focused School Mentoring Coordinator to manage and
support our School Buddies mentoring program. This role works
closely with schools, student mentors, and CYM staff to ensure
meaningful, well-supported mentoring experiences for children. In
this rewarding role, you will: · Facilitate weekly school-based
mentoring, where high school “Big Buddies” are paired with
elementary and middle school “Little Buddies.” · Plan and oversee
activities for Big Buddies and Little Buddies. · Coordinate weekly
School Buddies Program sessions in local schools. · Support high
school “Big Buddies” as they mentor elementary and middle school
“Little Buddies.” · Develop and lead age-appropriate Curriculum and
structured activities that encourage friendship, confidence, and
growth. JOB TYPE • Part-Time • 25-32 hours per week • Primarily
Monday–Thursday during school hours • Some flexibility required for
summer programming and occasional events PAY • $19.00-$20.00 per
hour, based on experience POSITION OVERVIEW The School Mentoring
Coordinator is responsible for coordinating CYM’s school-based
mentoring program, including communication with schools, mentor
support, activity planning, and documentation. During summer
months, this position will assist with Community-Based and
One-to-One Mentoring activities as needed. Summer responsibilities
will be adjusted based on programming needs and will not exceed the
part-time hours of this position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate
and oversee CYM’s School Buddies mentoring program • Serve as the
primary point of contact with participating schools • Support high
school mentors and elementary/middle school mentees • Prepare
activities and materials for mentoring sessions • Maintain accurate
program documentation • Communicate regularly with school staff
regarding schedules and student needs • Assist with mentor
training, and onboarding for the school-based program • Monitor
match progress and address concerns as they arise • Assist with
Community-Based and One-to-One Mentoring support during summer
months • Support program reporting and data collection
QUALIFICATIONS • Experience working with youth, schools,
volunteers, or nonprofit programs preferred • Strong organizational
and communication skills • Ability to manage time effectively
within a part-time schedule • Comfortable working in school and
community settings • Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel,
Google Workspace) • Reliable transportation required and a valid
driver’s license REQUIREMENTS • Ability to pass background check
and drug screening • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
check • Ability to drive a company vehicle when required •
