Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. This Special Education Director/Resource Room Teacher
role offers a unique split position that combines direct
instructional responsibilities with program administration and
staff supervision. The role is based in Ann Arbor, MI, serving a
K-12 school community dedicated to individualized academic planning
and student achievement. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal
for educators passionate about special education and leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction to a small
caseload of 8-9 students in a Resource Room setting Oversee the
special education program, ensuring compliance with regulations and
alignment with educational goals Supervise and support special
education staff, promoting professional development and
collaboration Develop and implement individualized education plans
(IEPs) tailored to student needs Uphold the institutions core
beliefs regarding student success and personalized learning
Qualifications: Valid K-12 Special Education teaching license
Proven experience working with Resource Room programs Strong
leadership skills with experience in supervising education staff
Ability to manage administrative duties alongside direct teaching
responsibilities Commitment to promoting inclusive education
practices and individualized academic pathways Location: 5550 Platt
Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108 Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM
