Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Michigan to support a K-12 educational setting focused on providing high-quality speech and language services. This contract position is ideal for an SLP interested in working with a diverse age range of students, from early childhood through young adulthood, within a center-based model emphasizing classroom consultation. Responsibilities include: Providing speech-language support primarily through classroom consultation rather than direct therapy Working with students aged 2.5 to 26 years, covering a broad developmental spectrum Incorporating Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools when appropriate Collaborating with educators and staff to develop intervention strategies aligned with student needs Maintaining thorough documentation and progress monitoring Participating in team meetings and maintaining communication with families and school personnel Qualifications and experience: Valid Michigan SLP licensure Experience working in school settings, particularly with a range of student ages and abilities Familiarity with AAC methods and their integration into educational plans Strong consulting and collaboration skills with classroom staff Ability to work independently within a consultative model Schedule and location: Position is based in Ypsilanti, MI Contract duration: Current school year, from now through June 17 Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM; Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM due to scheduled meetings No virtual work options at this time This maternity leave assignment offers a meaningful experience supporting students with diverse communication needs within a collaborative school environment.
