Job Description:
Estimator Location: Texas Status: Exempt Reports To: Operations
Manager Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and
results-driven Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible
for the accurate preparation of project estimates and competitive
bids. The Estimator will collaborate closely with owners,
architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to
ensure timely, comprehensive, and strategic bid submissions. Key
Responsibilities • Prepare accurate and comprehensive project
estimates and competitive bids. • Review plans, specifications, and
RFP documents to determine scope of work. • Lead or participate in
pre-bid meetings and site visits. • Perform detailed quantity
takeoffs and calculate labor, material, and equipment costs. •
Solicit, review, and manage subcontractor and supplier pricing. •
Evaluate design options and recommend cost-effective and
quality-driven solutions. • Develop project execution outlines in
collaboration with the Project Manager. • Maintain bid logs and
project documentation. • Maintain a 'lessons learned' log to
support continuous improvement. • Organize and participate in
project review meetings to monitor budget, schedule, and resource
alignment. • Communicate effectively with leadership, clients, and
stakeholders. • Build and maintain strong relationships with
owners, subcontractors, and operations teams. • Perform additional
duties as assigned. Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years of civil
construction estimating experience. • Strong knowledge of cost
estimation principles, scheduling, and project management
practices. • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. •
Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management
software. • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to
apply geometric formulas for quantity takeoffs. • Ability to
analyze data, define problems, and draw sound conclusions. •
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong written and
verbal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively under
tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Education
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or

Physical Requirements While performing the essential functions of
this position, the employee may occasionally be required to stand,
walk, sit, use hands to operate office equipment, reach with hands
and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and communicate
verbally. The role requires the ability to see and hear to
effectively perform job responsibilities.
