GENERAL SUMMARY: The marketing specialist, in conjunction with the Manager, Marketing Operations & Activation, is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and measuring service line, hospital-based and department marketing campaigns in support of system and division goals. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Operations & Activation, the marketing specialist is responsible for marketing initiatives, including working within budgets; enforcing timelines; customization of marketing materials; and execution of marketing tactics and plans.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop, execute and monitor marketing tactics and plans to achieve business objectives for service lines, hospitals and departments (primarily growth-related initiatives) within scope of responsibility; includes refining messaging, recommending appropriate tactical approach, and measuring key metrics of success.
  • Campaign and project management including coordination of multifaceted marketing projects by aligning and integrating internal teams-content & creative, digital/web, social media, community affairs, external/internal/physician communications-to achieve a common goal.
  • Support special marketing projects as assigned, including planning, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, writing messages, producing promotional materials, and ensuring project goals and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with service line marketing, content & creative, digital/web, advertising, social media and communications team members to address requests for support. Discuss concept development, provide writing and editing support and consult with key stakeholders as needed.
  • Edit and manage the copy development process for print and electronic materials, such as web pages, emails, brochures, fliers, posters or newsletters in support of marketing projects.
  • Understand and leverage marketing tools to inform initiatives including Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), marketing automation, consumer insights and data analytics, coordinating vendor support as needed.
  • Assist with on-site photography or video, as needed.STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field.
    • 3-5 years' experience in a professional marketing setting, including communications, public relations, marketing, or marketing research. Health care experience preferred.Other Qualifications:
      • Must exhibit excellent listening, writing and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
      • Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization.
      • Has strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadline.
      • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
      • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
      • Demonstrate communication planning skills with strategic focus.
      • Must have high degree of creativity and self-direction.
      • Must be proficient in MS Office programs.
      • Familiarity with project management software and best practices preferred.
