Job Description:

Pavilion Family Practice in Southfield is looking to hire a medical receptionist, with at least 2 years' experience preferred, in a fast paced medical setting. With knowledge of eclinical EMR is a plus. Job Description: Perform check-in and check -out duties such as: greeting patient/ visitors, obtaining copies of insurance cards and identification, completing paperwork, preparing charts and/or scanning documents into EMR. Maintain a commitment to the achievement of quality health care services through good communication and by maintaining patients' rights, safety, privacy and confidentiality. Greet patients/ visitors with a smile when they enter the office, and assist them with information when needed. Schedule patient appointments for both new and established patients. Verifies insurance coverage prior to scheduled appointments. Collect co-payments or other fees as indicated per insurance. Call no show patients within a timely manner. Answer the phone maintaining a polite, consistent manner and using proper telephone etiquette. Properly document all messages within the EMR. Process all incoming patient referrals from physicians Complete other clerical duties as assigned.
