Searching for a Senior Accountant in a HYBRID role in Southfield. CPA & public accounting experience REQUIRED!Responsibilities

• Perform various global accounting functions, ensuring that general ledger transactions and positions are accounted for properly in accordance with Firm policies and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) and supported by appropriate audit documentation
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls, as well as timeliness and quality of the monthly global accounting close process
• Act as a key point of contact for the external and internal auditors and provide audit coordination and support
• Identify opportunities to further leverage financial systems
• Improve efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external financial reporting
• Perform routine and nonroutine month-end close procedures including journal entry preparation, data entry, account reconciliation and reporting Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/related required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Active CPA REQUIRED
  • 3yrs+ public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred) REQUIRED
  • 3-5yrs+ relevant total accounting experience
  • Experience with SAP S4/HANA preferred but not required
