Job DescriptionSalary: $70,000.00-$110,000.00Job Description – Financial Accounting AnalystJob SummaryThe Financial Accounting Analyst has the responsibility for supporting the controller and ACC's managers to complete all monthly accounting processes including reporting. This role reports to the controller, in managing and controlling financial related activities. In a office environment, the right candidate must be an independent and team worker willing to be flexible in their job duties.     • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Responsible for the integration of core values into daily functions, including commitment to integrity, knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, reliability/dependability, flexibility, and ownership/accountability of actions taken.
    • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) reporting and ability to manage general ledger (GL) and journal entries.
    • Ensures accurate and timely month-end reports.
    • Ability to handle daily, monthly, and annual financial platform reporting
    • Strong excel proficiency to be able to handle assisting with projection models, budgets, etc.
    • Assists with general accounting department functions including A/R, A/P, and Treasury
    • Assists with outside accounting firm for audited financials.
    • Ability to read, analyze, interpret dates, and understand importance of date integrity. Understands how to use date to identify and solve problems
    • Responds to inquiries from CFO, and other Managers regarding financial special reporting or requests.
    • Ability to execute project planning from beginning to end
    • Ability to handle large volume account reconciliations for banking, collateral protection, etc.
    • Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
    • Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
    • Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of sensitive data. Secondary job duties include Special projects as assigned by VP of Finance/Controller, Payroll Supervisor or Executive Management.Position Qualifications:Required
      • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. A minimum of three (3+) years of accounting experience, preferably with financial analysis experience.
      • Strong analytical skills
      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office and preferably Syspro Accounting software.
      • Working knowledge of accounting practices with ability to analyze financial documents and reconcile accounts and projections.
      • Operational knowledge of GAAP and related government regulations / policies with ability to aptly apply procedures.
      • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to plan and accomplish goals.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and to meet specified and challenging deadlines.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
